...otherwise known as the 12th "Hurricane Bertha Memorial 7s".

On Saturday, July 12, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the Princess Anne Athletic Complex (directions) (field layout) in Virginia Beach, VA, the Norfolk Blues RFC will be hosting a Mid-Atlantic Rugby Football Union Men's 7's Qualifier and an Open Division.

Note: Non-MARFU teams can enter the Open Division; however MARFU teams who enter the Open Division will qualify for points in the new MARFU 7s Second Division Championship!

All teams will be seeded fairly and will get a minimum of 3 games each. Open Division teams may come from any location, but must be "claimed" as part of another club (e.g., club CIPP).

Tournament Fee: $195. There are three ways to make payment:

1. Use a credit card and pay through PayPal.

2. Make a check payable to "Norfolk Blues Rugby" and send it to: Norfolk Blues Rugby, PO Box 905, Norfolk, VA 23501.

3. Bring cash with you and pay before your first match.

To enter: just send an EMail message to davidc@rugby.org. We will confirm receipt.

IMPORTANT:

1. Slots will remain open until Wednesday night, July 9th, 2008 at 10:00 p.m. EDT. At that time: No deposit or no EMail = no slot. Postmark dates do not guarantee entrance.

2. Final payment is accepted at any time, but no later than the first match.

3. The Soccer Complex does not allow metal spikes.

4. In the event of inclement field cancellation, we will be at Lake Taylor High School.

Come to the 7s and get a tan on our big/wide (with grass) fields!

As always, teams and players must be CIPP registered and have appropriate insurance coverage.
